Bihar Veterinary College (BVC), Patna, was established on April 2, 1927, and began functioning on April 7, 1927. It is one of the oldest veterinary institutions in India and was founded with the primary objective of imparting quality education and training in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry. The college is also engaged in research and development activities related to animal breeding, nutrition, management, and disease control.
